Hello! My name is Hong Juan Zhou. I am originally from Chengdu, China. I have been living and teaching in Minnesota for more than three years. I have experience teaching different levels of students both in China and the United States. Before I came to the U.S., I worked at a university in GuangDong province in southern China. After I moved to the United States, I put my enthusiasm and effort toward the field of Chinese education. I taught at Macalester College for three years. I also accumulated experience working with children from teaching at Minghua Chinese school and Minnesota China Academy, as well as taking care of my little son. I became very interested in Chinese immersion education from my experience of being a substitute teacher in Chinese immersion programs in the Minnetonka and Hopkins school districts. I have a strong belief in immersion education, and I am looking forward to teaching in the Chinese immersion program at Benjamin E Mays.
Hello, Everybody, 大家好， It’s very nice to meet you here. My name is Changying Yan. I am from northwest of China, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. I had worked and lived in Beijing about ten years before I moved to Minnesota in 2009. I am currently studying Master of Education and DLiTE teaching licensure program through Bemidji State University (Extended Learning). During my spare time, I like walking, biking, playing table tennis, and dancing. I love teaching and enjoy being with students. I believe that each of students is unique like stars twinkling in the sky, so that I would like to help them to be more sparkling with my knowledge, skills and passion on education. To make our students be successful in learning Chinese is one of my biggest goals as a Chinese immersion classroom teacher.
My name is Qiong Qin, I am originally from Hunan, China. I received my Master of Accountancy from Carlson School of University of Minnesota in 2008. I worked as a full-time TA at Chinese Immersion Program in 2011~ 2012. I love working with students and very passionate about my work with them. I have a competitive edge on teaching Chinese language because I am a native speaker. My experience learning a second language is critical in dealing with students who want to learn Chinese. I want to help my students be excited about what they are leaning in my classroom.
